Coal Ashes Estimation Using the Simulated Annealing

A method for the coal quality estimation is described which is based on indirect measurements. The estimation consists in the Fourier spectrum analysis of the acoustic transducer signal using unlinear interpolation formula. The formula coefficients are searched by the simulated annealing method. The resulting formula provides the 7% precision of the coal ashes measurement.
