Possibility of realization of on-line floating point computations in systems with direct connections between computation units is shown. Method of polynomial calculation with the use of digit-by-digit operand processing from left-hand digits in symmetrical redundant numeric systems is proposed. Implementation of the above-mentioned method enables to extend the range of numbers representation as well as to save FPGA resources due to small number of connections between units.
